Greendale,
Wisconsin was originally conceived as a planned community during the 1930's Depression
as a WPA project.Adhering to their
original community design, the Village continues to abide by very strict architectural
design standards.
This
prototypical restaurant was redesigned to comply with an all brick
exterior.Brick quoins were also
required at exterior masonry corners. Wall mounted signage was limited.Additional fenestration was a requirement of
the Village to eliminate any "rear elevations".The trash enclosure was required to be roofed and attached to the
building.Working with the Village and
the Owner, WAI was able to successfully create an aesthetically please facade,
while maintaining the distinctive Ruby Tuesday "look".
